Grammy Award-winning artist Estelle will perform for Grady Health Foundation’s Travel in Pink event Tuesday, November 16, 2010, 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Travel in Pink, presented by Delta Air Lines, will take place at the Delta Air Transport Heritage Museum, Hangar 2 and feature a Delta airplane as the centerpiece.
“Planning this event has been simply fun,” said Lisa Borders, president of the Grady Health Foundation. “From our passport invitations, to the signature pink cocktails and the fabulous guest list, raising money for a great cause has never been such a pleasure.”
Grady and Delta are teaming up to raise both awareness and much-needed funding for breast cancer research. The money raised will benefit Grady’s Avon Foundation Comprehensive Breast Center.
Event attendees will include many Atlanta celebrities, local leaders and tastemakers. In addition to British-born Estelle, who’s Grammy Award for her single “American Boy” won her international acclaim, Atlanta country rock band South 70 will also perform.
Give to Grady (G2G) Ambassadors Chilli (from TLC), DJ Drama, Rashan Ali (V103), songwriter Cristyle, Kenny Burns and others will be on hand for the Tweet Lounge and the Silent Auction.
“We have so many surprises in store – and all for a great cause,” Borders said. “We certainly could not have done this without the generous support of our partner Delta Air Lines, the generosity of Estelle, who understands what it means to give back to the community, and all of our phenomenal business partners.”
