Recently, I was invited out to the exclusive unveiling of the new 2011 Ford Explorer at the Varsity in downtown Atlanta. The new Explorer has been redesigned shifting over to more of a car-based cross over platform. The new SUV is made of 85 percent recyclable materials, has the fuel efficiency equivalent to a Toyota Camry and its the first vehicle in the world to offer inflatable seat belts. After a detailed tour of the new Explorer with the people from Ford, I would have to say the two things I like most about the vehicle would be the one touch powered folding back seats perfect for lugging DJ equipment around, and The MyFord Touch technology which controls the music, climate, phone and navigation. The 2011 Ford Explorer goes on sale this winter and retails for $28,190.
